I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan however have spent the past 25 years in Chelsea, Michigan where my husband and I raised our three sons. As they have all now successfully joined adulthood, I have found myself with time to discover new hobbies - including woodturning.

This discovery began in January, 2020 at a small woodworking shop in Canton, MI. Although I am primarily self-taught, I have watched woodturning videos on YouTube endlessly. I bought my first lathe in March, 2020 and began by turning pens and handles for various utensils. I then upped my game and bought a larger more advanced lathe in March, 2021. This purchase allowed me to create bowls, platters and vases. I currently am working with a Harvey T60 lathe. I very much enjoy working with all types of wood and have learned to incorporate resins into my creations.

Creativity has always been my strong suit. I am a graphic designer by trade with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University and am currently employed by a marketing firm in Ann Arbor. My husband and I have converted our old carriage house into a fabulous woodworking work space. Woodturning has turned into a great love! The grain, texture, color and shape of a bare piece of wood is what drives me to create.
